Mary York has more than a decade of public relations, media relations and marketing experience. As a vice president for Atlanta-based William Mills Agency (WMA), a global media relations and marketing firm, she personally manages every aspect of client relationships, providing strategic guidance and ensuring all tactical issues are executed. Mary has worked with publicly-traded global giants as well as non-profits, privately-held organizations and Silicon Valley technology startups.

Mary also works closely with WMA’s Crisis Communication team and has successfully mitigated numerous high-profile crises over the last decade. She has crafted formal statements for national broadcast media, like CNN, as well as developed internal communication messaging. She is also a social media guru and works with organizations of all kinds to enhance social media communication strategies. She is certified in Inbound Marketing by HubSpot and is regularly published by industry trade magazines on various PR, marketing and sales best practices, including The Financial Brand, CUES PR Insights and Ragan’s PR Daily.

Outside of her work with WMA, Mary currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for Atlanta-based NCPHIF, a non-profit that aims to eliminate home improvement fraud across the nation. A growing, multi-billion-dollar problem, Mary provides strategic guidance to the board and its staff to drive awareness of its mission. Current and former supporters include Allstate, Ally Bank, American Red Cross, BB&T, Buckhead Business Association, State Farm, The Home Depot and Wells Fargo. NCPHIF is also endorsed by the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Kennesaw State University, where she served as a section editor for the award-winning newspaper The Sentinel. When she’s not working, she enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling.
