Georgia Chapter Of PRSA Elects Board and Assembly Delegates for 2011 PDF Print E-mail

     The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA|GA) today announced its elected officers for calendar year 2011.

Elected to the board are:

President – Karla G. Harvill, APR, director-internal communications, WellStar Health System
President-elect – Julie Turner Davis, senior manager-business unit communications, Georgia-Pacific Corporation
Secretary – Neil E. Hirsch, APR
Treasurer – Alicia Renee Thompson, APR, vice president, communications and public relations, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

     The Directors at Large for 2011 include:  Stephen M. Brown; Tim Hussey, APR; Alison Ilg; Kent Landers, APR; Elizabeth McMillan, APR; Jacqueline Petty, APR; Don Rountree; Jenny Schmitt; Stephanie Stinn, APR, and Ana Toro, APR.

     The Assembly Delegates for 2011 include:  Jason Anthoine, APR; Judi Borgo, APR; Ray A. Crockett, APR, Fellow PRSA; Kim Englehardt, APR; Jennifer Lane Grizzle, APR; Gary McKillips, APR, Fellow PRSA; Mike Neumeier, APR; Sherry Treco-Jones, APR, Fellow PRSA, and Nancy K. Wood, APR, Fellow PRSA.  Judith Webb, APR, is the alternate assembly delegate.

     PRSA|GA (www.prsageorgia.org), the second-largest local chapter in the national society, consists of some 850 professionals throughout Georgia.  Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities for its members.

     The Chapter has monthly meetings as well as nine Special Interest Groups (Corporate & Employee Communications, Healthcare, Independent Agency Owners, Independent Counselors, Leader Board, Nonprofit, Technology, Travel & Tourism, and Young Professionals) that meet at various times.

     The Chapter supports seven PRSSA (student society) groups at the following colleges:  Berry College, Clark Atlanta University, Georgia College & State University, Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University and University of Georgia.
