Elizabeth McMillan, APR Group Director
Now in her ninth year with William Mills Agency, Elizabeth McMillan excels in developing and leading strategic public relations plans and social media initiatives for a wide variety of companies – startups to multi-billion dollar businesses – operating within the financial services arena.
In her time at the agency, Elizabeth has worked with the executive, sales and marketing teams of more than 30 companies with business goals varying from securing additional funding to attaining market leadership to becoming an attractive acquisition target.
As a group director, Elizabeth is responsible for media training, media relations, branding, speaker bureaus, analyst relations, crisis management and integrating PR campaigns with existing client marketing programs. Having grown within the agency from account coordinator to her current position, Elizabeth is personally and professionally familiar with every aspect of PR planning and execution – something that her media relationships, speaker and award submission success and business referrals support.
Elizabeth also takes an active role within William Mills Agency, spearheading the evolution of existing PR planning and client training processes as well as the exploration and recommended execution of social media and marketing best practices.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations. She is also recognized as Accredited in Public Relations, APR, by the Universal Accreditation Board, which she joined as a contributing member in 2011.
Elizabeth is an active member of the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA|GA), having chaired several committees for the 800+ member organization and currently sitting on the board. She is also the recipient of PRSA|GA’s 2010 Shining Star Award.
